Position Description

Precision, contract machining business is looking for an experienced Assembler.

Job Summary: The Assembler reads routers, blueprints, work instructions, and schematics to identify components and specifications that are required for assembly conformance. The Assembler will install components and hardware according to these guidelines.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Studies blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications or sample parts to determine requirements of set-up, operations, and final assembly.
    • During the assembly process is involved with inspection, removing and installing fasteners, painting, pressing pins, and other mechanical tasks.
    • Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to management or designee.
    • Regularly performs mechanical operations by hand, with tools and with machinery.
    • Performs inspection of components before, during and after assembly process and documents results.
    • Confers with engineers, production personnel, or others to resolve machining or assembly problems.
    • Maintains a positive work atmosphere and communicates effectively with co-workers and management.
    • Training coworkers as needed.
    • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
    • Performs all assigned assembly operations.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years related experience – preferably in a manufacturing or machine shop environment.
  • Must be detail-oriented, dependable and trustworthy.
  • Must be able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
  • Good interpersonal skills and works well with all members of the organization.

Standard 1st shift: Monday thru Thursday, 6:00am-4:30pm
OT Friday 6:00am-2:30pm (When needed)
