Position Description

Precision, contract machining business is looking to fill the position of Janitor/Custodian - Shop Helper for it's Shop floor and office area.

This position is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing areas on the Shop Floor and within the office. We are looking for someone dependable, on-time and flexible as job duties may vary.

Duties include:
• General cleaning of the Shop Floor and office and keeping it maintained and in good condition.
• Scrub, sweep, vacuum or mop floors and wash down shop processing areas.
• Clean drinking fountains, washrooms, toilets and lavatories.
• Replenish supplies.
• Gather and empty trash.
• Dust, clean, and/or polish furniture and fixtures.
• May remove chips and turnings, keep various types separated and place in designated areas.
• Perform minor repairs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications include:
• Previous janitorial or custodial experience preferred
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to follow instructions
• Ability to communicate effectively with all members of the organization
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Must be detail-oriented, dependable and trustworthy
• Able to use basic cleaning equipment.
• Able to work safely with a variety of cleaning supplies
